Letters Home
Students write a letter home from the perspective of a person who lived through the American Revolution, demonstrating understanding of its causes, course and consequences while adopting the voice, concerns and experiences of their chosen figure.
- I can explain at least three causes of the American Revolution in my letter, using evidence from what we studied
- I can describe at least two key events or turning points during the course of the revolution
- I can show empathy by explaining how the revolution affected the daily life, feelings and choices of my chosen historical figure
