1. Introduction & Acceptance
Welcome to MESO. MESO is an AI-powered educational planning platform designed to help educators create lesson plans, assessments, and teaching resources.
By accessing or using MESO, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility & Account Registration
2.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age
You must be an educator, educational professional, or authorized representative of an educational institution
You must have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
2.2 Account Creation
You must provide accurate and complete registration information
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
One account per individual user; account sharing is prohibited
2.3 Ambassador Program
Participation in the MESO Ambassador Program requires explicit consent during onboarding
Ambassadors gain early access to features in exchange for feedback and engagement
Ambassador status may be revoked for Terms violations
3. Permitted Use
3.1 Authorized Uses
You may use MESO to:
Create, edit, and manage lesson plans and unit plans
Generate and customize assessments and rubrics
Access AI-powered educational content suggestions
Store and organize your teaching materials
Collaborate within permitted platform features
3.2 Prohibited Uses
You may NOT:
Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without authorization
Circumvent security measures or access controls
Upload malicious code or interfere with Platform operations
Use the Platform to generate harmful, discriminatory, or inappropriate content
Resell or redistribute Platform services without authorization
4. User Content & Intellectual Property
4.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all original content you create using MESO
You grant MESO a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service
You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate third-party rights
4.2 AI-Generated Content
Content generated by MESO's AI features is provided for your use and adaptation
You are responsible for reviewing and validating AI-generated content before use
AI-generated content should be treated as a starting point, not a final product
4.3 Platform Intellectual Property
MESO, its logo, and all Platform features are proprietary to MESO Labs
You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent
All rights not expressly granted are reserved

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
11. Disclaimers & Limitations

MESO provides tools to assist educators; it does not replace professional judgment
AI-generated content is suggestions only and should be reviewed before use
We do not guarantee content accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any purpose
You are solely responsible for content used in educational settings
11.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
MESO is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the preceding 12 months
These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability
11.3 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MESO and its affiliates from claims arising from:

12. Account Termination
12.1 Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time via Settings
A 30-day grace period allows for account recovery
After 30 days, data is anonymized and cannot be recovered
12.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account for:
Violation of these Terms
Fraudulent or illegal activity
Extended inactivity (with prior notice)
Requests from law enforcement
12.3 Effect of Termination
Access to Platform features immediately ceases
Your content will be retained for the grace period
Provisions that by nature should survive will survive termination
13. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. General Provisions
14.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and MESO regarding use of the Platform.
14.2 Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
14.3 Waiver
Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
14.4 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms. We may assign our rights to an affiliate or successor.
14.5 Force Majeure
We are not liable for failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
